Stephanie Hebert FINALLY Mentioned Again

After 31 years of silence, as if this child NEVER existed Fox8live.com does a special on the only unsolved child murder in the history of Jefferson Parish. The special was titled "LOST DAUGHTERS".
I've been trying for 6 years to get somebody to tell her story of her brutal murder when she was 6-year-old little girl living in Waggaman, Louisiana in 1978. The half-hour special also tells the story of the neighborhood boy who was 16 yrs. old at the time. Jefferson Parish Law Enforcement focused in on him and ONLY him.
In December of 1978, little Stephanie's body was found tied to a tree in Hahnville, Louisiana, approx. 40 miles away from her home. No one knows the cause of death.
We can only pray that she didn't die from exposure. I've never read anything else about what was done to her, only her clothes and shoes laid nearby. Two hunters found her in the last week of November 1978. I can only imagine their shock of seeing her skeletal remains. I'm sure to this day July 31, 2009, they have not forgot it, neither will Stephanie's family. To lose a child this way must be devastating.

As to the 16-yr-old prime suspect, he passed a polygraph in 1978. He went to the Grand Jury in 1980 and was granted "no-true-bill, but this was not enough for the blinded detectives who were out to get him. Even ignore the murder of his sister that occurred about 10 years later. She was found dead in the trunk of her car. Autopsy revealed she died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Yes, she had seedy friends whom she worked with at Avondale Shipyard. She was into drugs, she was young. It seems someone thought she overdosed and was dead, they got scared, put her in the trunk of her car and left her. Obviously, she was still alive because carbon monoxide was detected in her lungs. Had she been brought to a hospital, she may be alive today.
So who did this? Who was she with? I'll assume JPSO investigated and no one fessed up to it. Ultimately, her case was closed, cause of death "unknown". She was the prime suspect's sister. Many people think the cops didn't care because of her brother.
Finally, the suspect who is now 47 yrs. old, submitted to a dNA test in January of 2009. The suspect's dNA was tested and it too came back negative.
Stephanie parents were tested too and both tests were negative. There's another person LE wants to test. He is the cousin of the neighborhood boy, the suspect.
Even though, it upsets me that it took so long just to get DNA results, I'm elated because NOW LE can get back to work. I pray they find the murderer of this child.
I pray that they reopen the case of the "suspect's sister".
Good Luck to all of the investigators. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
My prayers have been answered.

Rest in Peace Stephanie Hebert and Beverly Alexander

About Me

My photo
I keep a close eye on justice in America. I'm a huge advocate of the truth. I was raised by a strong mild mannered lady, who warned me early in life to never believe everything you hear and only half of what you see. Born in the era of the JFK Assassination, I learned through my mother that the news can not be trusted, we must believe what is logical and what can be proven. She also taught me never to pre-judge anyone until I know the facts. Also never forget the atrocity of the Salem Trials. I've taught my children the same and I am very proud of them when they don't follow the crowd. I have raised three free thinking individuals. Something that I hope can be an asset in their lives. This is who I am. A hippy at heart, a realist in mind and a constant student of life.
