Houston Refuses to Air Saints Games??

Yes, this true. I've live here in Houston since Oct 2007. To my surprise, Houston cable television does NOT air Saints games. WHY? Is this "nazism"? Yes, thats the new word of the year "nazism". They think nothing of censoring the President of the United States, so certainly blocking a football game is piece of cake.
I have no data to prove it, but I'd like to bet anyway that the Saints were blocked after 2005, after the Katrina victims flocked here. The format wasn't in play then, so I'd say the "no Saints" started in 2006. Thankful for that. Yes, I'm aware of the chaos and turmoil some of my fellow New Orleanians perpetuated while living here.
Yes, Houstonians were regretful for having put up housing and health care to 100,000 people (who all had FEMA money), but to block the NFL? You would have to pull some mighty bigwig strings to do that, but Houston,TX has managed to do just that. Imagine Katrina victims living here and not being able to enjoy the Saints historical win to the playoffs and a shot for a Super Bowl spot. I didn't live in Texas then, but I know Saints fans. I'm sure they were HootinHollerin for their team amongst the jealous Texans fans who did miserably that year. So YES, the block began in August of 2006. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Did I mention I hate Texas? What a bunch of bigots, holyier-than-thou, phony Christians. I saw this first hand during Hurricane Ike when most of my neighbors had generators and I did not. Me, alone in a dark house, needing water and ice to survive, had no clue of where the supply station would be set up for the day. The radio didn't provide this information, so I would drive for hours looking for the help center for 5 long days. Fortunately, on day 6, my electricity was restored and I was able to watch television. It was then I realized just how mean and hateful my neighbors were because this information was on the daily televised news EVERYDAY, but not one of my neighbors who had generators thought to tell me this. Sooo sad.
Also, there was a catering/bridal reception hall who was selling hot food for $7.00 a plate. What they didn't mention was this food was on the verge of spoiling because their electricity had been off for 3 days and their insurance was going to reimburse them for anything they lost in their refrigerators. These so-called good Texans were all about making a buck selling rancid food. Shame on them and I told them just that, along with a few other choice words.
So fellow Saints fans, stay away from Texas during football season. They will not accommadate you. They don't like people from New Orleans, is a fair statement.
Geaux SAINTS Geaux!!!

About Me

My photo
I keep a close eye on justice in America. I'm a huge advocate of the truth. I was raised by a strong mild mannered lady, who warned me early in life to never believe everything you hear and only half of what you see. Born in the era of the JFK Assassination, I learned through my mother that the news can not be trusted, we must believe what is logical and what can be proven. She also taught me never to pre-judge anyone until I know the facts. Also never forget the atrocity of the Salem Trials. I've taught my children the same and I am very proud of them when they don't follow the crowd. I have raised three free thinking individuals. Something that I hope can be an asset in their lives. This is who I am. A hippy at heart, a realist in mind and a constant student of life.
